Writing for the NewsLetter
FAQs
Have you ever wondered if you should write an article for the TESOL
Greece Newsletter?
-
Please DO! Your contribution may inspire and be of value to many
colleagues.
What if your article may have some mistakes?
-
You do not have to worry about making mistakes. All articles are
proofread and edited and if any major changes are found to be
needed you will get a chance to look at your article again,
along with the editorial recommendations, to make it a piece
that can be published in the Newsletter.
If you are not an expert or an authority this is OK?
-
We ALL have
something to contribute to our profession, not everyone can be
an ‘expert’ or ‘authority’.
-
Many of the best
teachers develop their skills by interacting with other teachers
and hearing about their teaching practices. We may also develop
ourselves professionally by writing about and reflecting on our
experiences as teachers.
-
The Newsletter
tries to cater to the needs of diverse groups ranging from
students and young teachers to experienced teachers and people
working in the publishing field. In all likelihood, there is an
audience out there waiting for your contribution.
What exactly do you have to do?
If you feel you have something you would
like to share:
-
Send us your article in MS Word File.
-
Write an article
which does not exceed the 3000 word limit. The space available
is limited and the more articles we have the more helpful our
Newsletter is to our readers.
-
Send a photo in
the form of a jpeg file and a short biographical note to
accompany the article.
-
We will reply to
your request as soon as possible and we will let you know if
your contribution can be published and in which issue.
-
You can check the deadlines and the
themes (if being utilized) for the next issues. Please note that
the themes only serve as a guideline; they are allotted only
part of each issue and they do not impose any restriction in any
way on the topic of the articles or activities we receive and
publish. We look forward to receiving your contribution.
