Theresa Portell is a former nurse turned EFL teacher with a focus on learning differences. She is from Chicago, USA and has been living in the Athens area with her Greek husband and two sons since 1992.

A believer in the spirit of volunteerism, she has taken part in a variety of non-profit activities including her current position as a board member of Αξίες Ζωής στην Εκπαίδευση (Living Values in Education).
